1st Hair Cut

We took Luke to get his first haircut yesterday. We took him to Snip It's, a children's salon, http://www.snipits.com/ , if you want to check it out. A very cool place for little ones. They had cute little chairs that are made for kids, small aprons and wild colors all over the place. We were so proud of him, he didn't cry at all. He fussed a little bit when she would spray his hair with the water bottle. He seemed more fascinated then anything. He just looked all around and at the hair dresser. She knew what she was doing, you can tell she cuts kid's hair all day long. She was very quick and good. At the end of his haircut they have a " magic box" he puts this card into the box and out comes a hard plastic toy at the bottom, you know a vending machine dressed up with a hard purple plastic shell. He looks so handsome, like a little boy not a 17 months old. I forgot my camera but Greg took some pictures with his cell phone. I will see if I can download them. I took a few pictures once we got home. My good handsome boy.

Abby

Luke spent the night at grandma and grandpa's house last weekend. Luke and Abby, their dog, have become great friends. Every time Luke sees a dog, he says Abby? When he wakes up in the morning it's, Abby. He says her name all the time, Abby, Abby, Abby. He will say her name calmly the first few times then he yells it Ab-by. It's so sweet and cute. They play together all day when he is over there. Abby is a rat terrier, a small dog. She gets excited and wants to play but, when she gets excited she barks. Her bark is high and loud and it makes Luke jump and blink, sometimes he cries. She doesn't bark for long and they resume playing together. I am glad to see that he likes animals. Of course, he is such a sweetie how could he not love animals.

Kissing Bandit

Yesterday Greg picked up Luke from daycare. They informed him, with a laugh, that Luke was kissing Bailey, a little girl in his classroom. My son who is 17 months old is already kissing girls! I think we are going to have our hands full when he gets older. I've been told before that they call him the ladies man. They called him that in the infant room and now it has carried over to his toddler room. He used to kiss another girl in the infant room, Hannah. Luke, Bailey and Hannah are all in the same room now. I wonder if Hannah gets jealousy? Ha-Ha.

(This is an older picture, but it shows off those blue eyes. What girl could resist those eyes?)

Hi baby!

(Uncle Matt and Luke in their matching UL Ragin Cajuns shirts)
(Uncle Joey and Luke enjoying the great weather)

(Paw Paw reading Luke a story and making animal noises)

( My little Harry Potter)

This past weekend we were in Louisiana. Everyone came over to see little man and how much he has grown. He loves being the center of attention. He knows when everyone is looking at him, he puts on a show. He would sit on a couple of floor pillows, make sure everyone was looking at him and fall to the floor landing on his hands and knees, followed by a laugh and a giggle. Only to get up and do it again and again. Luke had a lot of fun put his paw paw's reading glasses on. As you can see he looked a little like a young Harry Potter. He gets this look on his face when he is being silly, he knows he's being silly. He's such a little ham. On Sunday he started saying "Hi Baby" it's so cute he knows exactly how to say it, a high pitched Hi and low long pitched baby. Thanks to my in-laws for their hospitality this past weekend. We had a great trip and it's always nice to see you. Hopefully we will see you soon.

On the Same Sunday Afternoon

Look out Tony Hawk, Luke Burns is coming after you!

Luke loves riding the skateboard with his dad.
When we come home and Luke spots the skateboard hanging
in the garage, he points and squeals. Sometimes he even throws a fit!
This is definitely a father, son thing. I don't dare get on that board!

He giggles and laughs when daddy has to peddle.
When Greg stops and just rides, Luke swings his hand and hits Greg in
the back. It's almost like he saying "faster dad". Greg tells him that if he keeps
doing that he's going have to learn to say "giddy up daddy!"

Don't worry Greg was standing right there, you just can't see him.

On a Beautiful Sunday Afternoon

(Since his little legs are not long enough, daddy had to push the car.
This is what Luke did once daddy stopped pushing the car. Ha-Ha)

(Such a cutie)

(Like his momma, loves the Mustangs!)

(Look out girls, a heartbreaker behind the wheel)

This past Sunday the weather was beautiful! It was 72 and sunny. Our friends have a kid's motorized Mustang car. They were out with and needed to wash the mud off, so they brought the car over to our house to wash the mud off. They left it here to airdry and guess who spotted it. He couldn't and wouldn't wait for anyone to help him. He decide to climb in all on his own. Luke's short little legs weren't quite long enough to reach the gas petal. Daddy had to push the car around in the driveway, this didn't last too long. Enjoy the pictures of little man in his borrowed ride.

Buzzer Giggles

Luke loves to push buttons. He is pushing buttons here and Greg is pretending that it is shocking / buzzing him. This of course is making him laugh. Any time I can capture Luke laughing, I will. I just love to hear him laugh.

The Raspberry King

Luke has become the raspberry king. We call them zurburts. If he sees any skin he thinks that is an open invitation for a zurburt. If you are sitting on the edge of the couch, he will crawl behind you, lift up your shirt and give you a zurburt. He thinks this is so funny. Of course, I am very ticklish so he loves to give me zurburts. It makes me laugh which in turn makes him laugh and we go around and around.

New Words

Last night Luke said Thank You for the first time. It was so cute! His vocabulary is growing so much. He has so many expression. He knows how and when to say hi and bye. There are so many words that he says now but I can't remember them all. Those are the new ones.

Baby babble

Luke was 3 months old here. After bath time on the floor, he began to talk in baby talk. I showed this video clip to my co workers and they said "He's definitely your child"

All Smiles

Daddy and Luke playing at 5 months old. Daddy would bounce Luke and say Daddy loves his Lukeinknightis (his nickname that I have no idea how to spell)
